X8 Djembe Order Info / FAQ

Shipping Details:
The X8 Djembe warehouse is located in Jersey City, New Jersey. We process and prepare each order within 24 hours of confirmation (except weekends and holidays).

All items ship via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail, both take between 2-5 business days for delivery (no deliveries on weekends or holidays). As soon as your item ships, you will receive your tracking number via email. All drums ship from New Jersey, so the closer your shipping address is to NJ, the sooner your item will arrive. Shipments to the west coast take 4-5 business days.

All items at X8Djembe.com ship for free. In most cases, your item will be delivered via UPS Ground. However, we may occasionally choose to ship an item via USPS Priority Mail if it makes more sense.

Tracking your Shipment:
We will send you an email containing the tracking number(s) as soon as your order ships. Most products ship within 24-48 hours. If you need your order quickly, please contact us first for an estimate on how long it will take. For a status update you can contact us via email or use the live chat button.

Backordered Items:
If an item is unexpectedly back ordered, we will contact you immediately to let you know your options.

International Shipping:
X8 Drums ships to the following countries. Just complete the international order form and we'll provide you with a quote for shipping right away. We've determined through experience that this is the best way to give you the lowest possible price for shipping.  Once we have confirmed the product you'd like to purchase and calculated the shipping costs, you will be able to buy the item online. Please note that conga drums are not eligible for international shipping due to size restrictions.

Is the X8 Djembe website secure?
You can be assured that when placing your order through the X8 Djembe website your details are secure. The X8 Djembe website uses SSL (which stands for "Secure Sockets Layer"), the de facto standard for Internet security. X8 Djembe Return Policy:
By purchasing from the X8 Djembe website you are agree to the following:

There will be a 10% restocking fee for all returned items. Restocking fee does not apply to authorized exchanges.

All purchases, except printed or recorded material, made from this website - as well as any orders made via phone - are granted a thirty (30) day approval period from the date of purchase. If you decide not to keep the merchandise, you may ship it back to our warehouse, in the original carton with all accompanying packaging and paperwork. When we receive the item in its original condition, we will refund the amount of the purchase, less shipping costs and a 10% re-stocking fee. The customer is responsible for all shipping fees to and from the warehouse. If you have an item that you would like to return, please inform us using our Return Authorization Form. We will then contact you with return instructions. X8 Djembe allows one exchange per order. Authorized exchanges are for a similar, same cost item.

Please retain the shipping carton and all original packing materials. There will be a 20% restocking fee if items are not returned in their original packaging.

Damaged Goods:

In the unlikely event that you receive a product that is damaged or defective please inform us using this form. All claims for damage or defective products must be made in writing and within three (3) business days of receipt. We will be more than happy to replace a defective/damaged product, however please note we will not send you a replacement until the original damaged product has been returned. Also, the damaged/defective product must be returned within two weeks after informing us that you have received a damaged or defective item.

Please retain the shipping carton and all original packing materials. There will be a 20% restocking fee if items are not returned in their original packaging.

After you notify us, within 3 business days, that you have received a damaged or defective product we will then send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) label via USPS (regular mail). Upon receiving the RMA label please place it on the outside of the box for returning. We need this RMA number to be visible so we can correctly match up your product when it comes back to the designated warehouse. Once the RMA label is on the package, you can drop it off at a UPS store or shipping facility, hand it to a UPS driver or we can schedule a pick-up for you. You will need to let us know which option you prefer before we can send you an RMA label.

Upon receiving the damaged/defective product we will then send you a new replacement item.

If you fail to comply with any of the above terms we have the right to refuse issuing a refund for the damaged or defective item.

Prices:

Prices, quantities, and availability of items on this website are subject to change. While we strive to provide a satisfying experience for all of our customers, if a listed item is sold, out of stock, differs or has changed in description, pricing, or attributes from what is listed on this website, we reserve the right to cancel any order that cannot be filled accordingly. Of course, in the event that a problem such as this may occur, we will be happy to try doing what we can to arrive at an agreeable solution with the customer.

Product Photos:

In some cases the product photo may differ in appearance than the actual product you receive. While we strive to accurately display the characteristics of every product we offer, hand drums are hand made instruments and can vary in color, shading, size, and texture from the product photo on our site. If you're very specific on an exact color please call first before ordering to discuss your needs. Please note if you order an instrument, receive it, and are not happy with the color, shading, sound, fit, finish, etc... you may return the product, within 30 days and with original packaging, for a full product refund. However, please note the customer is responsible for all shipping fees to and from the warehouse and there will be a 10% re-stocking fee.
